Large rare natural striped nautilus shell. 

Nautilus are listed in the CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) lists under Appendix II, meaning trade is allowed but regulated to prevent exploitation that could threaten their survival.

This nautilus shell has been sourced legally second hand in New Zealand.
